As promised, I’m providing the cost breakdown for the master bathroom remodel today. This will help you with planning your own similar projects!
RESEARCHING PROJECT COSTS
When I was planning the Master Bathroom Remodel, I of course did a ton of research. My teen daughter used to accuse me of over researching everything…but now she appreciates it! Ha!
The major thing I was trying to nail down was the estimated cost. Searches were leaving me frustrated. There were a lot of websites that gave very general data, which was usually a rather large range. Not exactly helpful.
I know the best way to get an estimate is to have people come out, but before I do that I like to have a good idea whether what we want to do is even close to the budget we have in mind. I have been very surprised in the past at the cost of projects, which is why I am such an avid DIYer at heart.

BACK TO THE COST BREAKDOWN…
While I love a good DIY, I wasn’t feeling confident about the master bathroom being my first major DIY. Luckily we got a really stellar recommendation for a contractor. He came out quickly and was able to start fairly soon. He is now scheduled out over a year…he’s that good. So, we jumped at starting the project.
Budget-wise he fell right in line with our expectations.
So, all that being said, I’m offering the final cost to you all. Please know this is just for informational purposes. Everyone’s budget is different and many, many factors go into each. My husband is a finance guy so I am very aware of varying budgets!
COUPLE DISCLAIMERS:
The Contractor Labor Cost included all building supplies. We just had to purchase the finishes. Also, we did have him do a few other things for us while he was here. Some of those costs might be in this total, but are fairly nominal. All-in-all the cost for his labor did come out to be about 50% of the total cost, which is typical.
