When I’m planning a new space, in this case our master bathroom remodel, I usually toss around several different ideas. I knew I wanted a classic design with a luxury look. The key element in any bathroom is the vanity, so that is where I started when looking for inspiration.
While I absolutely love my white bathroom and how it ties into our bedroom and closet, I know white is not for everyone. Heck…I didn’t even realize it was for me at first!
So today I’m sharing three additional classic bathroom design combinations that I considered.
A little disclaimer: In the spirit of keeping a budget in check, these all include traditional over-mirror light placement. While sconces are absolutely gorgeous, they require over head lighting to be installed and increase that budget substantially if not already present.
OPTION ONE: BLACK VANITY
Black is so classic and stunning in a bathroom. Combine a black vanity with classic patterned black and white tile to balance the boldness of the vanity. Finishing off the look with a little touch of modern in your light fixture.

OPTION TWO: WOOD VANITY
This beauty was pulling at my cane-loving heart strings, but alas it was too small for our bathroom vanity niche. Nonetheless it is a gorgeous wood option to warm up a bathroom design. I love this vanity paired with bold floor tile and mixed metal tones.

OPTION THREE: OVER THE TOP (just for fun!)
What would you do if budget wasn’t an issue? Is that even a thing? Not for this girl! But this is a fun design that is bold, dramatic, and less expected while staying classic in design.

Hope you enjoy these additional classic bathroom pairings. It was fun to design around the vanities I was considering in our own master bathroom. Go out and create a home you love!
These are three great options – I would have a hard time choosing! Fun post!
Right! So many options.
Those are all pretty. I think the warm wood design is my favorite.
It’s so pretty, isn’t it?
I like the way you illustrated that there is more than one solution for a classic look in vanities! They are all so pretty, I am sure it was hard to choose.
Thank you! It was fun to design spaces that could have been:)
Ooooh, love all of these! I’m looking at black for my own bathroom makeover and this one is really pretty!
Black will be stunning! I look forward to seeing your design!
Amie: These are all really beautiful options, but the cane one speaks to me! I love that. Thanks for the inspiring eye candy and the tip re: sticking with overhead lighting where budget is a factor.
I know! That cane vanity is gorgeous!
They are all pretty!
Thank you so much!
